Some items on yipp-e.com are Age Restricted. Yipp-e takes its responsibility in relation to the sale, collection and delivery of Age Restricted items very seriously. Age Restricted items must be used responsibly and appropriately

Ordering and Purchasing Age Restricted Items

The sale of these items is subject to age-checking requirements specified by law. By placing an order for any Age Restricted item, you are declaring that you are 18 years of age or over.

Our Age-checking measures

Whilst UK law requires the person ordering an Age Restricted item is 18 years of age or over Yipp-e, like most UK retailers, uses “Challenge 25” for delivery and collection of Age Restricted items.

Yipp-e has a number of age-checking measures: during the check-out process we ask customers to provide a name and to confirm they are eligible to purchase Age Restricted items, and make checks at the point of collection, time of delivery and with our delivery partners.

Collection of Age Restricted Items

Valid photographic ID of the recipient may be required for click and collect of Age Restricted items at the time and point of collection.

Delivery of Age Restricted Items by Yipp-e Valid photographic ID of the recipient will be required in line with Challenge 25 for delivery of Age Restricted items.

Delivery of Age Restricted items by Yipp-e will be to the address provided by the customer on the delivery label, to an alternative address designated by the customer, or the reception of a commercial property, where valid photographic ID of the recipient may also be required. Age Restricted items can be delivered to another adult over the age of 18 at the same address who may also be required to show valid photographic ID.

If nobody aged 18 years or over, who can show valid photo identification is available to accept delivery at the address, the item will be returned to Yipp-e for re-delivery.

If your order is being delivered to a commercial property or residential apartment block, the receptionist, concierge, or designated person receiving your delivery, must provide a valid photo ID, showing they are aged 18 or over. If they cannot, the delivery will be returned to Yipp-e for re-delivery.

Valid Photographic ID accepted by Yipp-e:

A Passport A European Union or United Kingdom (photocard) driving licence National Identity card issued by European Union Member State (other than the United Kingdom), and Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Switzerland A photographic identity card bearing a national Proof of Age Standard Scheme (PASS) hologram

Orders Delivered by Royal Mail

Although age-restricted items cannot be delivered to a locker or a nominated safe place location, they can be delivered to a Royal Mail Local Collect Post Office / Enquiry Office / Delivery Office, where age verification is required at collection.

Royal Mail will ask to see a valid photo identification if the recipient appears to be under 25 years of age, in line with their Challenge 25 policy upon delivery.

Following any unsuccessful delivery attempt of an age-restricted parcel Royal Mail will leave a missed delivery card and bring the parcel to a post office for collection with an age verification check. You may also be able to contact Royal Mail to arrange a re-delivery.
