About the beer
4.0% English Extra Pale Ale brewed in collaboration with the XT Brewing Co as Oriel College approaches its 700th anniversary in 2026.
To celebrate its 700th Anniversary in 2026 Oriel College Oxford is proud to present this second in a series of commemorative beers.
A clean crisp and lightly hopped English Extra Pale Ale.
All ingredients are UK grown and sourced.
Admiral, Jester, Olicana, Cascade and Endeavour hops make up a complex and fresh aroma, while Pale, Crystal and wheat malts balance out the flavour with subtle sweetness.
Differing slightly from 2023's '697' recipe, we have used a little less crystal malt in the mash tun but kept a hint of roasted barley to lend a lighter colour to the beer, yet retaining its complex malt character.
Ingredients: Water, malted barley, malted wheat, hops and yeast
Hops: Admiral, Jester, Olicana, Cascade and Endeavour
