Sky Wave’s Orange and Madagascan Vanilla Gin is a delicious cutting edge expression crafted over the course of an entire year by Sky Wave Gin’s Master Distiller, Andrew Parsons.

A Great Taste Award winner for its amazing flavours, this exquisite, subtle spirit was the highest scoring orange gin in the world at the 2021 International Wine and Spirits Competition.

Created with fresh oranges, never flavourings or essences, the zest and orange segments are steeped in our Signature London Dry before being crushed to extract their fabulous, alcohol imbued juice.

It is this fruit juice which brings just a touch of natural sweetness to the gin, as no sugar or artificial sweeteners are added.

Drinkers will perceive the warm, creamy hint of finest Madagascan vanilla, sourced directly from the growers. This luxurious spirit delivers a wonderfully refreshing tipple for a long drink or a short sipping experience.

“We couldn’t find the perfect gin – so we made it” Founders Rachel Hicks and Andy Parsons

Sky Wave's founders have been life-long gin drinkers, seeking out unusual and flavourful gins; they had always been mere consumers however, never thinking about distilling their own. But they couldn’t ever find that perfect gin for their taste – the one that just ticked every box.

Their inspiration hit them when they were by the sea on their wedding anniversary. They blazed home with the idea of creating the perfect gin for them, and immediately set to work. Rachel was driven by the idea of creating a genuine craft gin, with flavours inspired by our lives and experiences.

Both Rachel and Andy have lived lives full of adventure. Their epic journeys through mountain, sky, desert and sea inspire the flavour profiles of our outstanding gins. Some of the botanicals used reflect these far-away, exotic places that they have travelled; and the name ‘Sky Wave’ is a fusion of the big skies and big waves that have characterised their adventures. ‘Sky Wave’ is also a term used in radio; in their former lives, Rachel was a BBC radio reporter and Andy was a Royal Signals Army Officer.
